A Store with Style

When Sparrow & Co opened its doors in Old Town Lewisville offering home decor and gifts sourced from local and global makers, our founder, Rachel Joy, knew that design would play a large part in the overall aesthetic and direction of the store’s mission. 

With her own background in interior design, Rachel and our team curated a design forward collection of products that give back. The storefront is a testament to the quality and style standards we hold for all our design projects. While our products give back, they are items we would want in our own homes. 

 

Beyond that, we feel that creating welcoming spaces is a way to gather, celebrate, and intentionally care for your community. Our team believes that your home can tell a greater story– this includes the items you chose to put in it and the heart behind the style. 

Intentional Design

As customers shopped,  we received frequent requests for help designing their own homes and recreating the S&Co style. As we considered how to meet this need, our team realized that “designing with purpose” fit seamlessly into our overall mission. 

 

From the beginning our tagline has been “your home can tell a greater story”– building our Design House provides yet another way to create impact. 

The Design House Began

Sarah Burke began leading the Design House in 2022, a natural extension of her own creative background and the design work she was already doing in the store. As our client list grew, so did our offerings. The Design House now offers project consultations, E-Designs and full interior decorating services to fit a variety of needs and budgets. 

We are proud to offer intentional home design that does truly give back. Working with our Design House supports the overall mission of S&Co – to impact and empower women right here in our community. Our Production Studio is on hand to make custom pillows for design projects and the Design House lends creative direction to the store’s inventory, knowing what clients want and need. 

While we love to use S&Co products in our design projects, we don’t carry everything our clients may need or want. We source furniture and other decor elsewhere while curating selections to each individual project. There can be significant cost savings using a designer to source items and we pass on those savings to our clients. 

Why do we offer design services?

Because we believe your home can tell a greater story and we want to help make that a reality. From one room projects to a full home refresh, we love designing intentional spaces.
