We’ve only been back in Scotland for a month and we’re already dreaming about distant places. It’s been such a busy month – we didn’t even get a chance to share the amazing time we had in Greece.
I don’t mind telling you that Laura and I were both slightly nervous about this trip – our first with Rowan since he was born.
I could imagine us there – sitting on the beach enjoying the sun – I just couldn’t image how we would actually get there…with a new baby. We shouldn’t have worried. After a short journey via plane and car we arrived at our destination – a small fishing village on the west coast of Crete.
Laura and I actually had our first holiday together on the island over 10 years ago and it was lovely to finally return. Crete really is a beautiful island and is filled with some of the most hospitable people you could ever meet.
We both enjoyed a much needed break and Rowan certainly seemed to enjoy his first holiday too.

Your photos are really beautiful. How different the summer skies look compared to Glasgow!
Thank you – yes, they certainly get the better deal when it comes to weather…
